We returned to the nearby village next day to mail a letter and stopped at an old farmstand to buy a peck of yellow peaches. My favorite fruit. The barn and surrounding landscape were impeccably maintained.

We returned to the lake for a day centered around the beach. Canoes were available for rental at the Gifford Pinchot lake.

Two brothers were busy as beavers around the camp and beach throughout the day. Building castles in the sand was one of their industries.

"Flies" as big as dive bombers [3 inches long] were flitting about holes underneath the beach mats near the children's playground equipment. I hadn't seen anything like them before. I need to research their genus.

I was waiting on shore to capture the last few photos of the white heron as he rounded the bend. Somehow he eluded me and I saw him soaring off across the way. Wiley beast. All I got was this pretty reflection at dusk. Day is done. Gone the sun. Had some fun.
